Thanks to a newsletter spotted by Stitch Kingdom, it has been revealed that Disney are working on a sequel to Epic Mickey. Epic Mickey 2 will see everyone’s favourite mouse return not only on Wii but the PS3 and Xbox 360, hopefully for Christmas 2012.
Evidence pointing towards Superbot Entertainment suggests mounting speculation that they are developing a ‘Super Smash Brothers’ style fighting game featuring all of your favourite/unknown Sony characters.
The WWE Smackdown v Raw series has stagnated over the years. The yearly releases brought less and less significant updates, and if you played one from a couple of years ago you aren’t really missing out on much if you didn’t pick up the most recent title. It’s not just a problem with sports titles (yes, I’m clarifying WWE games as sports titles), it is becoming more apparent in all genres with developers/publishers rolling out new titles year in year out to cash in on their popularity. It takes a brave person to see that their franchise has stalled and choose to do something about it. That is what THQ have done with their newest title, WWE 12.
The team behind the Modern Warfare series have never been seen as underdogs. Quite the contrary; ever since the release of Call of Duty 4 back in 2007, they have been seen as the ones who set the bar for shooters on the current generation of consoles. But by creating a game as mind-blowing as Call of Duty 4, that team (Infinity Ward) unwittingly created a rod for their own back- a standard that they themselves might never supersede. Or did they?

Nintendo recently revealed that a revamped Wii will hit the market. The “new” Wii unit will look different (slightly) but will no longer carry GameCube compatibility.
I always say I am a huge Lego (and Harry Potter) fan, and I’m still not ashamed of it. The Lego gaming franchise, although often repetitive, creates some excellent titles that are both fun and imaginative, and it seems the second instalment for the Harry Potter series is no exception.
U.S. sales of new games, consoles and accessories dropped 26% in July year-over-year to $707.7 million, the worst recorded monthly performance since October 2006, according to the NPD Group.
