They have been waiting a while for this review, ever since I did an interview with the guys behind Insert Coin Clothing… and I have to admit that I forgot. This has mostly been down to the fact that the t-shirt they have sent me fits so well into my life that I didn’t realise what was happening…
The lovely guys, Dan Long and Jon Rhodes very kindly sent me their ‘Bake Sale’ t-shirt, inspired by Portal no less. What more could an Aperture Science fan want in the mail?

Quite honestly, the tee is great. The work that went into designing this t-shirt, and the whole variety of others on their site is beyond awesome. Every gamer needs a top designed by these guys. Each image is motivated by a love of a certain game, such as ‘the cake is a lie’ statement from Portal, or the Afterlife club in Mass Effect 2. These little elements look great on their own, but with some gaming knowledge thrown in these are geek heaven.
Often with t-shirts I have purchased from random websites, the quality is never very good; poor design, terrible printing that doesn’t take long to crack or fade, and a substandard fabric. This is not the case with Insert Coin tees, and I’m not just saying that because they are lovely guys and sent me things. They genuinely care about the standard of clothing they send out to their customers, due to their frustration of crap t-shirts they have bought in the past, and for their love of gaming.
So… this is me trying to take a picture of myself wearing the ‘Bake Sale’ tee:
At least Pixel (the cat) looks nice. The tees fit really well, and the one I’m wearing is a medium. I did have some concerns about bust size, as some t-shirts I’ve bought in the past either specify the size, or don’t and they end up too big/small, but this one fitted perfectly. Something men don’t (usually) have to worry about, but it’s the little things like this that make all the difference.
Insert Coin Clothing are not only catering for adults now… oh no. They have just launched their range of kids wear, which have all the same great designs on, just in a teeny tiny size. If I had children, they would definitely have several of them in their wardrobe!
Not only can you purchase your favourite tees online, but you can also find the team out and about at various expos and game fairs. This weekend you will find them at their very own booth at the MCM expo in London. If you manage to get down there (which we are on the friday) say hello to them, they are nice I promise! They might even let you purchase something!
So what are you waiting for… go buy something dammit!

The Insert Coin guys are brilliant, and the Portal shirt looks great! Can I make a “you got some pussy” joke here?
